STATS AND BUILDS

STATS meant for an ARCHER/HUNTER
Strength (STR): add on 1.22 damage per point
Dexterity (DEX): slightly increases EVASION and SP is increased by 5
LUCK: every 5 points increases critical hit percentage by 1%
And slightly increase critical evasion

OPTIONAL STATS for ARCHER/HUNTER
Wisdom (WIS): increases Maximum MP by 5 and also increases magic resistance slightly
Reaction Defence Boost (REC): increases defence and adds 5 more SP to maximum SP

USELESS STATS to an ARCHER/HUNTER
Intelligence (INT): increases magic attack’s power

BUILDS:

For Normal Mode:

Each build can be adjusted to suite your purposes
Each Build is JUST a suggestion *though criticism is always excepted

PvE builds:

4 STR 1 DEX
Good for grind……extra attack boost helps kills mobs faster
Obsolete at later lvls

NOTE: though you may find that you miss a lot so ADD more DEX

3 STR 2 DEX
Great for grinding
Very good build balancing STR and DEX
Obsolete at the later lvls

5 LUCK
Horrible build for grinding at early lvls
Insane damage at later lvls

NOTE: no DEX is needed to do a Critical Hit
Critical hits are Base Damage Multipliers that NEVER MISS

PvP Builds:

4 STR 1 DEX
Great damage for killing
You Miss a lot of Rangers/Assassins and sometimes Fighters/Warriors
Only good for 1-15 PvP and 20-30 PvP

3 STR 2 DEX
Great build that balances damage and hitting/evasion
Will not “miss” as much though the occasional miss happens to Ranger/Assassins
Only good for 1-15 PvP and 20-30 PvP

5 LUCK
In the long run this is the BEST BUILD for PvP
You will not “miss” as much like the other builds (assuming you have 350 LUCK 70% chance to land a critical hit)
INSANE damage usually double you base damage (sometimes triple, x 4, x 5, etc.)
Only good for the later lvls
And 1-60 PvP

TIPS for Grinding and Training (normal mode)

Always grind on green or yellow until you’re confident enough to take on orange and red
Get a guild, they’ll help you lvl up and you can meet new people
Party with a RANGER/ASSASSIN their LUCK-buff is really helpful

Go for a 3 STR 2 DEX build for a while
Plus get a lot of kills in the early PvP maps to boost your reputation and experience is great for you
until 40-50ish then you can buy a stat reset stone and add all your points into LUCK

at 50 you should get 300 base LUCK
60% chance to Critical Hit
heavily Lapis your equipment with lvl 3-5 Fortune Lapis and you should get 350-400 LUCK
also find a lvl 53 assassin/ranger for their +90 LUCK buff

after getting 400ish LUCK then begin adding STR Lapis to counter the low base damage

If you can’t afford a stat reset stone and IF you want a LUCK build
Go 5 LUCK from the beginning though the grind may seen impossible it will be worth it

HARD MODE ARCHER BUILD

PvE

5 STR 2 DEX for the starting lvls
This should be easy lvling
Never tried this build myself but I believe this build has great potential

7 LUCK

SUPER-HARD to grind with especially at the beginning lvls
HIGHLY Recommended build for later on lvls and BOSS FIGHTS
Insane damage as soon as you past 300 LUCK….

TIPS for lvling a HARD MODE ARCHER/HUNTER

7 LUCK is really hard from the start plus the x 3 experience points needed
Make it WAAAYYYY harder
To make grinding easier then get a GUILD and also make friends on the way to #1

Re-stat when ever you think you could do best with a LUCK build

PvP BUILDS (for HARD MODE)

5 STR 2 DEX for 1-15 PvP
*But if you like to heavily Nostrum then go all STR
Great build for 1-15 PvP and 20-30 PvP
OKish damage as well as evasion

7 LUCK
At 20-30 PvP this build really shines
Heavily Lapis with Fortune Lapis for the Best results
Insane Damage and you’ll almost never miss (at lvl 30 *without lapis you get a 48% chance to land a critical hit)

ULTIMATE MODE ARCHER BUILD

I haven’t tried one yet…..
But I say…..

7 STR 2 DEX for the beginning lvls
Then re-stat to LUCK at lvl 47 then begin adding STR

or you can go for a 8 LUCK 1 DEX build
then re-stat at lvl 45 and heavily lapis your gear with Fortune Lapis
then begin adding STR to improve your base damage

Skills to get for an ARCHER/HUNTER

Normal Mode:

Luck build

Slump Shot
Wide Shot or Ballista Shot
Bull's Eye
Body Training
Sharp Shooter
Long Range
Shot Pointer
Rapid Shot
Marksman Song
Potential Viable

WHY are there so little skills for Luck builds????
Other skills cannot be used with a critical hit
skills that are DoT and % based damage can't be used for a critical hit
(unless the skill says % of success its useless to a LUCK build)

therefore those skills become obsolete in the higher lvls

STR/DEX build

Piercing Shot
Sustain Shot
Slump Shot
Jumping Airshot
Bull's Eye
Body Training
Sharp Shooter
Long Range
Shot Pointer
Rapid Shot
Marksman Song
Potential Viable

some of these skills require a lot of DEX to hit

Bow Power Up
Bow Mastery

for use with a Bow

Projectile Power up
Projectile Mastery

for use with a Crossbow

NOTE: no weapon is better then another
unless they have stats in them......

it all comes down to what YOU think and what YOU choose
ill just tell you the differences between the 2
and then YOU have to decide

BOWS
-faster in terms of DPS
-most common for LUCK builds because of speed
and a higher chance to Critical Hit
-good stats.....uncommon to see all stats in on spot....

CROSSBOWS and JAVELIN
-more DAMAGE to counter slow speed
-GREAT for 1-hit kills and high base damage
-stats are just like a bows except more common to be in STR DEX and LUCK separately

Hard Mode

STR/DEX build

ULTIMATE MODE

Anything you want ^^
Basically you can get every skill in the game (for a HUNTER/ARCHER)

ARCHER/HUNTER LEVELLING GUIDE

At the very early lvls an ARCHER/HUNTER should learn how and efficiently kite an enemy……

What is kiting??

The ability to RUN in a monster’s range and have it follow you while you attack it

NOTE: don’t pull too much monsters…..and DON’T let that monster get close

Party with a RANGER/ASSASSIN for their LUCK buff
Get a guild they’ll help you lvl up
Meet new people, befriend PRIEST/ORCLES

Lapising Guide

Depending on your build….. you may want to Lapis differently

STR/DEX

Lapis some Shrewd Lapis to your equipment
Also Lapis some additional Craft Lapis to increase your Attack
Some Assault, Deceive and Forbid Lapis to Boost up your ATTACK and DEFENCE

NOTE: you may want some Vigor, Mental and Life Lapis to increase your SP, MP and HP

LUCK

If you have under 300 LUCK
Then Lapis more Fortune Lapis until you got 350-400 LUCK
Then Begin to add more Craft, Assault/Deceive and Forbid Lapis to assist more in PvP and PvE

PvP Guide and Strategy

Solo

Archer/hunter vs. Warrior/Fighter

Get loads of range and remember how to Kite; dance circles around them
They’ll probably use auto-attack and will run/defend themselves when their HP is low
Finish them quickly or else …..RUN before they get close to you…..Use skills like “Slow” and Piercing Shot to gain some range…..use de-buffs to you advantage….

Archer/Hunter vs. Mage/Pagan

Drain their MP quickly or just use Rapid/Triple Shot it will be over quickly
Most people will probably try to run close to you so run away…..then attack before they cast their spells….ALWAYS interrupt their spells….De-buff them ASAP…..

Archer/Hunter vs. Priest/Oracle

This could take a while because most of them add REC to themselves
So go all out….Slow wouldn’t work because they have dispel same goes for
Piercing Shot, DoTs and % based attacks they won’t give much damage but will use their AoEs to slow you down……they’ll also run up close to drain your SP so run away and attack…..

Archer/Hunter vs. Ranger/Assassin

Lol……
It should be easy for a LUCK build to massacre them but they will use “stealth”
So use DoT such as sustian shot to prevent them from "stealthing"
and then de-buff them, Big Coup, and spam your attacks afterwards.....
Plus run for it when they use “sprinter” run for a good 2 minutes they can’t attack you when they’re running….and also don’t make it obvious on where you are running in case they could ambush you there…..
or use "slow" at your first hit

Archer/Hunter vs. Archer/Hunter

It all comes down to skills and armour……attack swiftly to bring down their HP
Also stun them and then finish them off if things don’t go your way……

In a Party

first of all it takes time to learn......
I can only give you tips.......
and Garathorn can give you strategies.....

TIPS (feel free to criticize)

a player should ALWAYS OBSERVE the situation,
Plan ahead, and ADAPT to the ever changing PvP realm......

will be posted as IMPORTANT points
another KEY to your success

~~~~ TIP 1 ~~~~
OBSERVE
why should you do it???
-can save your team from ambush and extermination.....
-lets you PLAN ahead of strategies on how to kill the opposing fraction
as you observe the 1-15 map
be on the look-out for SCOUTS* and DECOYS......
COMMUNICATION is the key to success
talk to you leader ( or party ) about what you see
~~things to tell your leader~~
# of total enemies
# of Pagans/Mage
# of Oracles/Priest
# of Assassins/Rangers
*remember the assassins/ranger's name if you are in 20-30 PvP and 1-60 PvP
# of every other class I haven't mentioned.......
skills if you happen to see them
possible builds they might be......
players who are is isolated ( be careful they could be Decoys )
know the difference between a Guardian/defender from a Fighter/Warrior
where each player is
~~~~ TIP 2 ~~~~
PLAN

taken from Garathorn's PvP Tactics Guide
http://forums.aeriagames.com/viewtopic.php?t=90496

decide on the best form of action that will
1) bring you kills
2) keep all your players alive
3) ensure your success in driving back your enemies

and then APPLY your strategy to what you OBSERVE

~~~~ TIP 3 ~~~~
ADAPT
your leader ( or you ) should be watching the Battle
and act like a mobile RESURECTION point
change PLANS if things don't go how you planned it to go
PROTECT each other
especially Pagan/Mages, Oracles/Priests and Hunters/Archers
stay alive as much as you can
send a Assassin/Ranger into a group of enemies
or as a decoy then tell him/her to attack and *STEALTH* away......
*remember to STEALTH away
and lastly the most
*strategic way of defending a Party* is to flee
don't kill of all your members
flee and then attack *just like kiting*
~~~~ TIP 4 ~~~~
ACTION
technically this should be TIP 3 but most people do this right away

it's self explanatory.....
why did you come into PvP realm???
to KILL

attack their Leader first
or anyone that is annoying

KNOW THE ENIMIES WEAKNESS

Assassin/Rangers
Warriors/Fighters can be easily killed by STRONG MAGIC ATTACKS

Pagans/Mages
Oracles/Priest can also be easily killed by Physical ATTACKS

Hunters/Archers can be killed by both Physical and Magical based attacks
*only if you can reach them first.......their MAXIMUM range is 35m........

Guardian/Defenders can be killed depending on their build
but mostly die by Magically based attacks

Also do not lapis your EQUIPMENT with EARTH or FIRE
why???
most Pagans/Mages MAX every WIND SPELL.....
some CRAZY Oracle/Priest will get EVERY WATER SPELL......

if you want to Lapis your EQUIPMENT then get the ones according to your BUILD
and Life Lapis and Mental Lapis for higher survivability

Get the BEST equipment you can for your lvl
don't bring any useful equipment ( high chance of Inventory items dropping )

and the MOST IMOPRTANT RULE/TIP is to OBEY THE RULES GM's POSTED

so far this is all I can think of at the moment......
hope you get LOADS of kills

and I wish you all good " LUCK "..........
you'll need it

forgot [b]EXTRA TIPS
run like the wind if you are alone and see a PLAYER on HM/UM
kill Knock Out Nostrum users FAST
HAVE FUN it's a game don't get mad or spaz just because your side is losing or has no BLESS

A Complete Guide to Being a Healer

A lot of people in game ask me Healer related questions, so I decided to try to answer them here. **Everything I say here is my own personal opinion, you do not have to agree with me, these are simply guide lines.** I'm am trying to give good advice that will help you create a character that from lvl 1-60 won't need a restat or a reskill.

    *Help I'm starting a Normal Mode healer, where should I put my stat points and what kind of gear should I get?

On a normal mode character, I would go full wis, no exceptions, 5 wis per lvl!
If you decide to create a different kind of healer then be prepared for

Normal mode healers are really no use in serious pvp, they die too fast. If they add a lot of rec, they may live longer but they won't be able to heal for a useful amount of HP, making it harder for them to be useful in pve parties.

Do NOT add int, it is a waist of stat points and can easily be added to gear, if needed!

If you go full wis on normal mode, then your healer will actually be useful later on, for boss killing and other pve situations.

Gear:

At low lvls a healer can get decent starter gear from doing quests and I'd advise putting int lapis in that gear. It will help them solo grind a little, till they can get to a high enough lvl to the point when parties become available; it's a lot easier with the extra int. The best piece of armor you get at low lvl, is a lvl 25 heroic chest piece, most likely the rest of your gear will be noble, worship or just plain npc gear.

From now on, you should try getting heroic or dread equipment. Easiest pieces of armor to get are lvl 43-46 heroics and lvl 29, 45, 46, 50 dreads. You can put 1 int, 1 rec and 1 wis lapis in most pieces of gear. Your torso should have 1 int, 1 mana and either 1 forbid or 1 hp lapis in it. You will probably find that this gear is good enough for you to continue with.

If you find it hard to get these equips, then just use plain NPC gear, till you can afford better.

Later on, if you decide to re-equip your healer with better gear. I would try to get a dread set of gear. You should know by then what kind of lapis you want to put in it, depending on how you use your normal mode healer and your budget. The main lapis you should focus on, are wis and rec, letting you heal more and survive better. So if for instance you're healing someone for the Astaroth quest, you won't get instantly killed by his AoE attack, you will have time to pot and you'll heal your party member enough for him to survive the beating from Astaroth.

I see normal mode as a stepping stone to hard mode and if you plan on making a hard mode healer, or an ultimate mode healer, then I strongly advise you not to make a normal mode healer; as it will become useless, once you move on to the next playing mode.

    *I finally started Hard Mode and I decided to make a healer, can you help me?

Welcome to hard mode, you can now enjoy pvp and start making different unique character builds!

Now you should decide what kind of healer you would like to make.
I do not personally support Battle/offensive Healers, they can be an interesting class to play but I find them to be weak, so I'm going to skip that.

PvE healer:
I wouldn't personally bother making a hard mode healer for pure pve but here a a few builds that should work good in parties and solo:

5 wis + 2 rec, is a good build for whatever kind of healer you're planning on making. In pve, you'll like this build because you won't be dying to mobs and you'll still heal plenty to keep your party alive. This is a good pvp build and a good pve build.

4 wis + 1 rec + 2 int, this is a nice build for a pve healer who sometimes likes to solo mobs. The wis is enough for you to keep most parties alive and the int will make killing mobs much faster. It's a hybrid and I don't really like this type of build but it's nice for the solo pve healer. You have no real strong points but you can do a little of everything.

6 wis + 1 rec, this is probably the best support pve healer. You have a little extra defense and health, so mobs don't kill you and you're going to heal more than enough to keep any party happy with your heals. Not gonna be fun soloing on this kind of healer though.

PvP Healer:
Now for my favorite type of healer, a pvp healer. I find this build to be most effective. If you've experimented with different pvp builds for hard mode healers, please share your experience.

4 wis + 3 rec, you may argue as much as you want but I find this to be the best healer for pvp. You are basically designed to keep your party alive, while staying alive yourself. This is a party healer, not very effective solo.

In pvp, it's not so much about how much you heal for but about keeping your party alive long enough for them to kill the enemy, while staying alive yourself.

A dead healer is a useless healer!

In pvp, a smart party will target healers first and if you can't survive long enough for your party to kill anyone trying to kill you, then you're useless.

You need to be carful of people who when all nostrumed up, can kill you before you see them coming. It's possible to get killed with 1 skill hit, by a lvl 57+ um warrior. Health assist can save you but I find it best to only resort to that at the last possible moment.

If your party engages a powerful enemy and you die instantly, then the rest of your party is likely to die as well and you have not contributed anything to the fight.

In pvp you should NOT be attacking your enemy!

Your party needs you to keep them alive while they do the killing. If you are being attacked and cant' heal, run to your party for help. There are still spells that you can cast, to help yourself and to help your party, even if you are being attacked and can not cast regular heals. If your enemy realizes that you're not going to die as easy as they thought, they they'll probably try to kill other members of your party.

So what you should do instead of attacking your enemy, is heal, dispel your party, stay alive and occasionally debuff your enemy, if needed.

I'm not referring to situations where your party is much stronger than your enemies. You can run around dancing, for all I care, if your party doesn't need you.

I don't think I need to remind you to ALWAYS keep your party buffed, your buffs are one of the most useful things about healers!

On hard mode, you get a dread armor set for lvl 29-32, use it till you can afford to make better dreads or legends. Good lapis to put in your gear would be rec, wis, hp, def and mp lapis, even some int is ok, if you can spare the slots.

    *Ultimate Healers:

If you've gotten to ultimate mode, I don't think you need much help from me, you can use the rest of my guide as a guideline for your ultimate mode healer. Simply add 2 more stat points into consideration; I would personally add them to rec.

The new ultimate skills that I know about are a self instant heal and a godly buff. You get the instant heal at a low lvl and the buff at lvl 60. When I know more about ultimate healers, I will tell you more.
Maybe an ultimate healer would like to share some knowledge?

To be continued..

You can see/download it as pdf-file: http://www.mmoverload.com/quests.pdf

or if u want to have sorting options or work with the file at your own you can download a xls-file (better u choose 'save target as' per rightklick on the link): http://wwwmmoverload.com/quests.xls

useful link for monster locations to complete the quests: http://shaiyamaps.awardspace.com/map_locator.php I hope the owner will forgive me the direct posting. (there was a post somewhere in the forum...)

This guide will tell you how to find the best noble armor for 1-15 PvP for every class. It includes the lvl 9 Boots, lvl 10 Pants, lvl 11 Chest, lvl 15 Gloves and Weapons varying in level from 11-14.

As far as I know there is no other guide dedicated to this and this one is accurate. If you notice any errors please respond and I will update the guide.

Ok, here is the map, instructions for each piece can be found below.

1) LEGS: This quest becomes available sometime around lvl 10ish. To start this quest talk to Limpers Pellum in Aridon, he is a guard next to a tower on a hill.(he is located to the left of the large square walled structure) He will tell you to to talk to Mosen Kiesto, who is nextdoor in the large walled in area. Mosen will then give you a quest called Mosen's Favor, it tells you to go to the Blood Labs and meet Mosen Ordo. Mosen Ordo will give you a quest to go meet Dratt (located at #1 on my map). Dratt will give you the quest StonePeg Goblin Family(part 1). It requires you kills 10 StonePeg Goblin Fighters located to the west of Dratt. Then kill 3 Clan Leaders and 5 Goblin Warriors located on the other side of path from Fighters. Next is to kill Jardo the named Goblin, you can find him if you stay on the side with Fighters and run to the back of the camp, hes located at the very back. Return to Dratt with the head of Jardo and receive your choice of... *drum roll* Mighty Noble Legs for Oracle/Pagan, Assassin/Hunter, Warrior/Guardian

2) CHEST: This quest becomes available at lvl8 in Frontier Village from the NPC named Sasru. The quest is called Thorough Revenge and has 3 parts. The first part requires you to attain a "Keepsake from Roman". It tells you to kill WedgeRock Kobolt Guards but those do not exist, they really mean to kill WedgeRock Kobolt Watchers, they can be found in front of Artlum Mine. Part 2 and 3 are easy, just return to the same mine, for part 2, kill 7 WedgeRock Kobolt Fighters, and for part 3, kill the named kobolt Grill in the back of the mine. Return and get to choose your magnificent armor from Warrior/Guardian, Assassin/Hunter, or Pagan/Oracle. You get your level 11 Noble Chest Peice.

3)WEAPON (Warrior[lvl 12 Dual Axes], Guard[lvl 11 1Handed Axe], Hunter[lvl 13 Bow]): This quest starts from Slo, He is located in Frotainer Village. He tells you to go meet Sant (at #3 on my map). Sant gives you a quest called Punishing Thief Puma, which requires you to kill Short Black Hair Puma located at the blue dot on my map. Return to Sant for choice of the deadly Warrior[duals], Guardian, or Hunter[bow]

4)WEAPON (Pagan[lvl 11 Dagger], Oracle[Noble Staff], Assassin[lvl 13 Reverse Sword]): This quest becomes available at lvl 11. Its located at the #4 on my map from the NPC named Ahera(professional trader). She gives you the quest Punishing Thief Wolf. It requires you to kill 10 Steel Teeth Grey Wolf. They are located slightly west of Ahera. Return to Ahera for choice of the sleek and shmexie Pagan/Oracle/Assassin weapon.

5)BOOTS: This quest is available in Gliter at lvl 8 from the Weapon Merchant named Vank Jerad(near blacksmith). He wants you to kill 10 Black Claw Succubus's. They are located on the first sharp curve on the path heading east from Gliter. The red dot on my map marks the spot. After killing 10 return to Vank and get to choose your mighty lvl9 Noble Boots!! Warrior/Guardian, Assassin/Hunter, Pagan/Oracle are your choices.

6)GLOVES: This quest becomes available at lvl 14, you get it from the NPC named Zaite in Frovaton Vill. The quest is called BlackSkull Family and requires you to get 10 Blackskull marks. You get these marks off of BlackSkull Kobolt Soldiers and Blackskull Succubus. They are both located at the green dot on my map. Return to Zaite to get your final peice of gear, choose from Warrior/Guardian, Hunter/Assassin, Pagan/Oracle.

I for one am tired of trying to remember what quests you need to do to get your noble 1-15 set.

Enjoy!!

Shaiya Game Overview

Shaiya is a Free to play MMORPG Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game created by Sonov Entertainment.
Shaiya Story and Background

In the ancient times, there was the Goddess Etain and the three races she created: the Dragons, the Nordein, and the Dumianas. The Goddess found faults in the Nordien and cast them into the soil. In their arrogance, the Dumianas questioned Etain's power and authority and she was weakened by their disbelief, and the Dumianas killed her. Her soul was torn in two. The death of the Etain left Teos out of balance and unprotected. Other Gods sought to take over Teos and created monsters to invade and destroy it. The Dragons hid themselves from the world. When the dust settled, there were two new Goddesses overseeing Teos. The remaining Dumianas were split into two factions; one for each Goddess.

These two races in Shaiya, the Elves and the Vail, found themselves in constant conflict with each other. Age old tensions fueled their aggression. Soon after, the Humans joined forces with the Elves while the Nordein re-emerged as the Deatheaters and allied with the Vail, creating two factions: The Alliance of Light and the Union of Fury. Not only battling the monsters that still roam the lands, these two sides wage a never ending war over the control of Teos.

Shaiya Character Classes
A players choice of class is restricted by race, and therefore by faction. There are twelve classes, however only six unique styles of play.

  • Defender (Human) / Guardian (Nordein) - These are the only playable tank classes. They are heavily armored with high hit points and have the ability to provoke enemies into attacking them. They may equip a shield and a one-handed weapon. Their primary goal is to keep foes away from other party members.

  • Fighter (Human) / Warrior (Nordein) - The melee specialists and can deal out good amounts of damage. They are able to equip most available weapons and have spells available to them as well.

  • Priest (Human) / Oracle (Vail) - Possess healing and resurrection skills. Their armor is very weak. They can inflict minor damage with spells thus are generally better suited for group play and helping other players.

  • Ranger (Elf) / Assassin (Vail) - Stealth, deception, and evasion are used by this class to inflict high amounts of damage before the enemy has a chance to strike back.

  • Archer (Elf) / Hunter (Nordein) - Uses ranged weapons, such as bows or javelins, to wound and slow enemies from a distance. Their light armor is compensated for by the ability to kite.

  • Mage (Elf) / Pagan (Vail) - A ranged, spell-casting class with very weak armor but has multiple Area of effect and high-damage skills.

Shaiya Player versus Player
Shaiya features several battlefields in which players from opposing factions can engage in a never-ending conflict. There are various PvP maps with progressing level ranges: 1-15, 20-30, 1-60.

Shaiya players may issue a challenge to another player within the same faction who is near him/her. If the challenged player does not respond within 10 seconds, the challenge is automatically rejected.

Defeated players in PVP combat stand a change of losing an un-equipped item from their inventory

Crafting within Shaiya
The only crafting ability is the repairing of a weapon's endurance level. However, it is reported thart a crafting system has already been completed and will soon be introduced to Shaiya.

Shaiya Quests
NPCs in Shaiya provide quests which players may complete for experience and unique items. There were well over 1,000 available quests for players to undetake.
